Integrated Minimally Invasive Surgery
Minimally Invasive Surgery
Spirituality of Compassion, Shepherding Leadership, Innovative Excellence, Superior Expertise
This latest state-of-the-art technology acquired by PSH, is the first in the Visayas and Mindanao, enabling patients to experience faster recoveries and less scarring than what is entailed during traditional invasive procedures.
MIS stands for Minimally Invasive Surgery. Unlike traditional surgery, MIS procedures involve no large incisions whatsoever. Instead, extremely small incisions are made - only large enough for the insertion of miniscule cameras equipped with microscopes and tiny fiber-optic flashlights.
The integrated OR1™ NEO KARL-STORZ for Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) will be located at the 5th floor of the MOTHER OF PERPETUAL SUCCOUR SPECIALTY CENTER.
It allows efficient and intuitive operation, simple data recording and documentations and unhindered data exchange within and outside the OR. The entire surgical environment, endoscopic devices, video and data sources and peripheral devices such as surgical table or ceiling lights, are strictly tailored to the user and can be controlled from the central location within the sterile area.
MIS strongly supports PSH in training generations of competitive health care professionals allowing Teleconferencing and teaching events to be easily conducted in the PSH Auditorium, where ongoing surgeries can be viewed real-time. This makes the institution the leading cradle for continuing medical and nursing education in the region.
