Job Description

The Aircon Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems throughout the hospital facility, ensuring optimal indoor climate control for patient care areas, operating rooms, and administrative offices. This role involves conducting routine preventive maintenance checks, diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC issues, and performing timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime. The technician works closely with the facilities and engineering team to maintain compliance with safety standards and ensure uninterrupted operation of critical cooling systems in sensitive hospital areas.

Qualifications

Vocational diploma or certificate in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning (RAC) or related trade

TESDA NC II certification in RAC Servicing preferred

At least 1-2 years of experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of split-type, window-type, and central air-conditioning systems

Knowledge of HVAC electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance

Familiarity with refrigerant handling and safety protocols

Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals

Willingness to work on-call or during emergencies, including nights and weekends

Physically fit and able to work at heights or in confined spaces

Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with facilities/engineering staff
